A lot of attention has been paid on television lately to Psychic Reading performed by “Psychic Kids.” Many very young children have psychic experiences early and often. Sometimes this manifests as a fear of nighttime visitors, which are dismissed as imaginary monsters under the bed. Are children more psychic than adults?

Children, free from societies expectations, talk openly about their Psychic Reading experiences without hesitation. Just as we often find animals to be more sensitive to psychic information because they react immediately with fear or happiness to stimuli, a child will have these instinctual reactions with tears or laughter that can’t be denied. Our current Western cultural stigma against Psychic Reading, in some regions due to incompatibility with Christian beliefs, and in others due to staunch Atheism, causes those who perform Psychic Reading to be mocked or reviled in some cases. As a result, children begin to learn that they should keep Psychic Reading to themselves.

As a result, over time, young adults may be less likely to perform Psychic Reading as they pursue more “normal” careers. Psychic shielding and blocking techniques have reached effectiveness, and are often applied without the knowledge of the user, as he or she denies any Psychic Reading impulses.

As a person in our culture gets older, wisdom and intuition become a more acceptable value, and Psychic Reading may seem like a reasonable pastime. In addition, the classic look of an elderly fortune teller may make professional Psychic Reading more marketable during old age. During retirement, many elders may wish a career that is flexible but gives back to the community, and may take up Psychic Reading. Since much of Psychic Reading is done by using a bank of subconscious symbols that are build over a lifetime, older people have this advantage, as well as the wisdom of life experience.

A person who starts Psychic Reading young and continues to old age would be most likely to be successful. But, as far as beginners go, children win for instant honesty, but our elders might be most likely to pick it up and be able to use it to augment wise advice in a helpful way. Successful young adult readers are slowly growing in number in today’s society.
